Most of this information was taken from research published on Ancetry.com which I have not been able to verify. I use "Henry" as his first name because that is what is on his daughter Louisa Maltzahn's death record. Other genealogists use "Martin" as his first name.
Henry Mahlzahn was born in Arnsberg, Greifenberg, Pomerania, Germany on 15 December 1806. On 29 October 1828, he married Maria Keup. Henry died on 9 December 1866 and was buried on 12 December 1866.
